Year End Thoughts

Year End Thoughts

As we approach these last few days of the year, it is an excellent time to take stock on all the good things which have occurred in the past year. Each of us at Levy & Associates considers ourselves fortunate to have a wonderful “work family” who supports us and who helps us to find the fun in what we do each day.

We appreciate friends and clients who have generously shared their private thoughts with us and trusted us to team with them as they plan the remainder of their lives and after death wishes. It continues to stun us that we are still losing dear clients to the global pandemic, but we genuinely believe it to be a blessing to help our clients’ families implement the plans that their loved ones carefully established in contemplation of aging and death.

We worried along with clients during harried weeks of inconsistent rumors of tax changes that indicated the need to implement quick year end changes in strategies to protect their assets, then shared sighs of relief that no meaningful legislation would impact thoughtful plans that remain in place.

We reminded those who will be sixty-five or older on January 1 to be sure to apply for an additional tax exemption on their county property taxes and to consider other available exemptions, and cheerfully remind all, that turning sixty-five brings a plethora of legal opportunities to stretch their dollars.

We remind our clients and friends that we like to see them annually so that we can review plans, decisions, and life events to ensure their safety and legal and financial well-being. We enjoy visiting with our clients and learning about their current business and family events. We wish old and new friends every happiness and plan to see everyone in the new year.
